Spotlight: Pierre Hardy

Pierre Hardy has been around in the shoe/accessories world for awhile and his collections are always amazing!
Hardy started out as a fashion illustrator for publications such as Vanity Fair Italy and Vogue Hommes International before moving on to design shoe collections for Dior, Hermes and Balenciaga. In 1999, he launched his namesake collection and frequently finds his inspiration in art and architecture. The Summer 2012 collection is absolutely beautiful and if you can afford a pair, I certainly encourage you to add a pair of Pierre Hardy's to your shoe collection. Below are a few examples from his summer 2012 collection:

JW Anderson for ALDO Rise

I have to say I am usually a bit sceptical when it comes to designers doing collections for high street brands especially when it comes to shoes (materials, comfort-level etc. not always the same), however, the other day I walked by the window of an ALDO shop and saw these absolutely gorgeous shoes that I just had to walk in and try on!

The JW Anderson for ALDO Rise collection is beautiful as we would expect from this rising star of the fashion world, but the heels are also incredibly comfortable and well-made! If you haven't stopped by ALDO recently, I would run and see if you can get yourself a pair of these lovelies!

Profile: B by Brian Atwood

For those of us who covet Brian Atwood shoes but can't quite get our wallets to stretch that far, I have the solution!
In comes B by Brian Atwood. B Brian Atwood is the designer's diffusion line which launched in the fall of 2011. It comes in at a lower price point but still projects Atwood's style and glamour, I am so so excited about this line and just had to share it with all of you. Here are some of my favourite styles in the Spring 2012 line.

Tribal Inspiration at Burberry Prorsum, Spring 2012

Burberry Prorsum is always at the top of my list for preferred lines and the Spring 2012 collection has to be one of my favourites! It's very different then what is mainly out there for spring at the moment no pastels, florals or really bright neon colours here. Bailey was inspired by tribal textures, colours and beautiful beading. The standard Burberry khaki, black and white was mixed in with colours like ochre, apricot and a turqouise-like blue that Burberry calls kingfischer. Here are a few of the Sandals and Wedges I am coveting this spring.

Kingfischer Woven Raffia Wedge
I Love the use of Beading on this Wedge! It looks absolutely gorgeous on!

Woven Raffia Stiletto Platform in Apricot
Perfect for a from day to night look!

Striped Wedge Woven Leather Boots in Chocolate
I am a big fan of the open toe boot and these are great as weekend wear with skirts or cigarette cropped pants.

Woven Leather Wedge Sandals in Bright Ochre
Endless Wardrobe Possibilities with this one!

Vibrant Leather Platform Sandal in Kingfischer
The beading around the top on these is major and the coordinating stiletto heel...Fab!
