Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 Campaign

Lollipops and Rainbows oh my!!
Louis Vuitton's spring 2012 campaign conjures up sweet childhood memories by featuring two models in a make-shift ice-cream parlour. It showcases the beautiful new bags in the collection as well as to-die-for shoes and gorgeous icy pastel clothing.

I have included images of both the campaign and the show as well as a video where you can see the making of the campaign narrated by Marc Jacobs himself.  Steven Meisel shot the campaign, and did an absolutely genuis job!!   Video of LV S/S 2012 Campaign

Can you believe these shoes?!, This icy green with silver combo is so gorgeous!

OAT Shoes

I am always looking for new innovations in footwear and in my travels came across this company called OAT shoes from the Netherlands. Their shoes are made from biodegradable materials that allow you to bury the shoes in the ground once you have worn them out and they will break down (in an ideal environment) by 90% in 6 months. They have also included, in the tongue of the shoe a packet of seeds so when you do bury them your shoe will grow flowers, how cool is that!!

What they are made of remains a secret to some extent, as of course the company will not want to let go of their secret, but these shoes are not only environmentally-friendly but also quite stylish!
As of now they only make styles for men, but I am hoping that women's shoes will soon follow.  Ladies, if you are looking for new kicks for your men, OAT shoes are sure to be a hit!!

Below are the different styles they make now and you can purchase them online if you live within the EU. Due to the seed packet, they are not allowed to ship world-wide just yet.

SAG AWARDS 2012

Wow!, well I watched the red carpet coverage on E! channel and I have to say I was not very impressed with the choices in dresses this year, is it just me or did it feel like most of these starlets just didn't try?

That being said, There were a few which I think stood out for me. These are my choices for best dressed, let me know which was your favourite!

Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham

Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera
I really didn't like what she wore to the Golden Globes
but I think this Carolina Herrera was an amazing choice for her!

Great choice of colour for her!!

Glenn Close in Zac Posen.
I think Glenn Close looks amazing, the way this dress hugs her curves is just perfection!

I have to say this is absolutely one of my top three dresses at this event.
It's elegant, it's decadent, it's appropriate to the occasion and Jayma looked incredible!

Julie Bowen in Temperley London
This is a great colour on Julie and the style really suited her body shape, absolutely beautiful!

Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka
Kelly killed it in this dress!! She looks absolutely stunning,
this might be my favourite dress of the evening!

Rose Byrne in Ellie Saab Haute Couture
Not many people could pull this look off and Rose looks stunning!!

Chasing the winter blues away with Koolaburra

With winter rearing it's ugly head (on a daily basis!!) I find myself wanting to wear really warm cozy boots on my long walk to work. In comes Koolaburra! Koolaburra has been in the footwear business for over 20 years and specifically in the sheepskin boot business. They are unique in that they combine their knowledge of sheepskin boots with a bohemian aesthetic. This combination results in fun, decked out boots, beautiful sandals with a bit of a rocker flare and overall just a really fun shoe to wear.
They already have a cult following among hollywood celebs and I am definitely a new convert!

Check out their Website and let me know which are your faves?

The Golden Globes...

Hi there readers!  It has been a while since I have posted and I do apologise as I have been away in "the sticks" completely disconnected from the world for a few weeks. Well worth the rest, but unfortunately the posts do suffer when one has no Internet connectivity.

Anyway am back and just in time to blog about one of my favourite times of the year, Award Season!!
The Golden Globes were held last night and I have to say sometimes what I see come down the red carpet disappoints, but this year Hollywood really out did themselves. To me it seems we have gone back to the days of Old Hollywood style and I am loving what I see!  Here are a few of the actresses that stood out for me... Atelier Versaci and Gucci were popular choices for the evening, my absolute faves are Madonna in Reem Acra who killed it! and Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang. I think Sofia's choice in colour was bang on and the cut of the dress was absolutely stunning for her! Madonna, well Madonna is Madonna let's face it!

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace, very old Hollywood!
Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci
Jessica Alba in Gucci, Bulgari Jewels, and a Roger Vivier Clutch

Katherine McPhee in custom Donna Karan

Madonna in Reem Acra Amazing!!

Nicole Kidman in Versace

Salma Hayek in Gucci

Sarah Hyland in Vintage Dolce and Gabbana

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang
I cannot say enough about this dress and how stunning she looks!
